Welcome back, everybody!!! Summer is fast approaching and we here at Player Highlife realize that it's good to be able to live the life of the rich & the famous if you have the means. But more importantly, we also realize that some of the greatest pleasures in life come from the things that take very little money or no money at all to do. It's just being able to spend time with your family or your best friends. It's going out on a road trip, a baseball game, or a concert. Even throwing a wild-ass party that people talk about for months to come!!! It's those memories and those relationships that make for the human experience. When we all look back at our lives when it's all said & done, we're not gonna think about how much money we have, or even how many power moves we've made. At the end of the day, it's all about the memories and the people we've shared them with...
So, to help illustrate this point, this entry of Player Highlife will talk about 5 things that do not cost much $ at all to help you enjoy the summer of 2011!!! Let's get it done!

3) lots of summertime food & drinks
What's summer without some good food and drinks (alcoholic & soft)? There's nothing better than to sit around and grill some food out at a barbecue or to have a picnic with the love of your life! Some of the no-brainer essentials are hot dogs, burgers, sausage, steak, & shish kabobs. Also, foods like egg salad, cole slaw, fruits such as mangos, watermelon, cantaloupe, apple, oranges, and other make a delightful treat!!!
As far as drinks, whether liquor is your poison or you just like to stick to the light stuff, nothing is better than to have that cool drink to help us to relax & to take in the summer!!! One of our personal favorites at Player Highlife is the smoothie. Do a Google search and find recipes for different types of smoothies that might interest you!!!
For those of us that absolutely can't live without alcohol (haha), nothing beats a cooler full of beer, mixed drinks, or wine coolers. Go to your favorite supermarket or liquor store, and find a 24 pack of beer or grab a party pack (Bacardi & Smirnoff make them) and get crazy!
4) an awesome concert
Promoters know when it is time to start up the new concert season and that is in the summertime. 2011 should prove to be a great concert season. Some of the artists that are going on tour this summer will be:

Finally, the one thing that can't be bought; the one thing that means more than anything, is to be around the people that mean the most to you and create some memories of your own! There's something about the summertime that allows a person to be more free. Maybe it's the sun always shining, or the hot weather, or the fact that people are wearing less clothing (or a combination of them all)! Take lots of pictures & video, go out and live it up, and most importantly, have fun!!!
